I have always wanted to draw animals interacting with bees. One day, I got inspiration for Frank Pryor’s sketching while I was taking his caricatures class. He showed me how to put ideas and sketches out in the notebook, and we kept practicing until we found the right one before drawing the actual artwork. When I saw his cartoon puppy with the bee on its nose, I asked him if it was okay to create my scratchboard artwork based on his sketching. He’s happy to let me use his sketching. So, I checked out a few different puppy reference photos and created this “Oh My Bee” scratchboard piece. I’m so blessed to have all these amazing people around my life who give me inspiration. I wish the owner of this piece of my artwork enjoyed the funny moment of the pet’s reaction with the bee on its nose and had a blessed life with great people around to support them.
