2024 is the year of the Dragon. This artwork is the dragon playing TaiChi on a 6×6 scratchboard. The dragon symbolizes power, authority, wisdom, and suspicion in Chinese culture. The dragon is often considered a messenger of heaven, able to reconcile wind and rain and control natural forces. Tai Chi originates from Taoist philosophy and represents the fundamental principle of the universe. TaiChi contains the balance of yin and yang, symbolizing the cycle and harmony of all things in the universe. Martial art TaiCHi is based on this balance of yin and yang, focusing on both internal and external cultivation and combining hardness and softness. When creating this dragon play TaiChi scratchboard artwork, I wish the perfect state of achieving great power through internal and external balance and wisdom. May the owner of this artwork be like the dragons, flexible but full of power.
