When I experienced so much trauma and hardship in life, my personality became a little spice and unreasonable because I didn’t know how to deal with people. It makes me feel like a hedgehog that is packed with poky sticks on my body, trying to keep myself safe. At the same time, I still wish to be loved and not left out. I dreamed that the butterfly would stop on the hedgehog’s nose and become a friend of the hedgehog, representing my stage of craving love during my difficult life while I created this Scratchboard artwork “Craving Love.” It turns out that this piece of artwork guided me without me realizing it. When people came to me and told me that they loved this piece of artwork I created, they told me that they believed scratchboard was my medium, and they started to come around and support me in different ways. My gratitude returns, and joy fills my dark nights with lights and sparks. “You are loved! And life will become better and better,” is my wish for this artwork’s owner.
